I feel this combined mixture of intense sweet happiness along with extreme guilt and non stop questioning of my humanity. With these shoes there are a million possibilities. What pants, skirt, coat should I match it with today? What tinge of lipstick am I feeling to go along with it? What perfume to compliment the entire aesthetic? You can tell there is a major amount of stylistic shit that will go down here.

But at the same time, stepping back and having a look at the real picture. How much fucking money did you spend on shoes this week? In two days? Really? Loboutin's, Celine's and Chloe's-less than 48 hours? Will I go to hell for this?

The limits of my boundaries have been blurred for a long time. But I can tell these shoes and myself will have a long lasting relationship, and pretty much all my other flats can be branded "useless". I don't know what kind of feelings i'll have about feeling guilty when I wake up tomorrow. But whatever happens... you'll hear about it in the next post.

I am a typical working, studying, consuming, careless person. 97% of everything I buy is worn 3% of the time. I would like somebody to convince me that the idea of a slow, pace-less lifestyle is really possible and that a jet-setting, bottomless wallet lifestyle is unrealistic. I'm amidst the action, absorbed by it, but never fully assimilated into it. It's a matter of when does it end and when does it begin. Will it begin? Everything doesn't mean anything but I'm affected. I can understand it, I can work with it, but I can never make myself feel at one with it. Does this shit make sense.

The moment is now, but we can never make decisions about tomorrow nor figure out what the hell happened yesterday. Why. And why does surgical eye glue hurt. These eyelash extension are unnecessary but I feel sparkly and magical!

I've forgotten that invigorating feeling of dressing up. I know this is horribly prep but this is what I wore/will wear to uni. Although I probably won't get to anymore, I was sweating in these photos. There is nothing better than a good interview-read and a good soundtrack. Soundgarden, Incubus, Madonna, Queen B and Rage Against the Machine. A little bit of everything. I've noticed I've a little bit of everything in everything. Books, lipstick, pants, shoes, food, shampoo, company. Socks (very important).

I am in a state of satisfaction with mobile quality photos. Who the hell cares to lug around 2kg for uber quality photos? On top of the 5kg of textbooks and laptop and 1L bottle of water? Busy hectic life as usual, saving and spending equally. Nearly buying ticket for trip next year, and always buying unnecessary YSL lipsticks or loafer heels on the side, like it's nothing! And concert tickets! Incubus! Brandon Boyd, hey. Wearing blouses (from Zara) and midi skirts (from anywhere) is basically my entire state of mind right now. I mean I can talk about it for a whole day. It's insanely easy. With loafer heels. And lipstick. That's it. And an absolutely divine Diane Von Furstenburg trench coat. Fairly discounted this one, I wouldn't have given it a second glance otherwise. And Dior sunnies. Which I haven't dropped yet. Not thinking about anything other than what you have to do for now, and what you want now. Tomorrow is for tomorrow!

Week II of university and I haven't pulled out my hair yet...Maybe next week? I did however burn half of my fringe while lighting a menthol. In my defense i'm too blind and too clumsy all too much. Nothing noticeably different, but you can't help feel conscious about such a thing...

My huge Net-A-Porter package came on earlier this week (all in all I think it took just three short business days to make it all the way over here from... the UK?) and it was huge. When I say huge, I mean I can fit my baby sister in there, four times. I mean I even tried it, like I didn't times her by four but I imagined it, and I tell you it's totally credible. I suppose half of what you pay is for all the boxes, ribbons, wrapping paper... It's definitely half of the experience. But after all the blissful moments of unwrapping I'm just left with a shit load amount of branded stationary. But I definitely understand the significance of presentation, working in a department store and all.

I got Reed Krakoff's as well, but for these Miu Miu's it was a battle against Givenchy and Marc Jacobs, which both appeared to be so painful my ankles cried just at the thought of it. And so unwearable at that! Only if I had a rooftop party in New York to attend. I've already worn heels to university, which is in itself a death threat because there are around about 10 flights of stairs between any two classes I may need to get to. Yes, any two classes... of thirteen. Never again. So pretty much these are socially and physically acceptable, mind you if I had no boundaries I would have straight up gotten Margiela. (Of course, in my core, I have no boundaries but i'd like to have a stress-free life by wearing socially acceptable shoes, and at least a chauffeur before I start pulverizing my ankles)

Otherwise, interned this week and worked. Miranda Kerr was at work. Got paid 4million. Change the subject.

Industrie... always a stimulating read, great layouts etc etc but these days I have to be sticking my head in 16th century literature or my ass is going to be failing uni. These aren't real Tom Ford (sunglasses) but I went into every imaginable Sunglasses Hut and optometrist in Sydney CBD. "All sold out, sorry".

I've arisen from cyber death. While out living my life i've gotten involved in 1. interning and 2. full time university and 3. spending pretty much all my pay on books, magazines, shoes, jeans and textbooks. Interning where? A magazine.

Which one?

This one. And this is Laragh... she's so lovely.

University is really exciting but no doubt this time next week i'll be wanting to pull my hair off. But i've been faithful in playing the part of a typical university student, so far. Wearing loafers, eating on the grass, being in a constant pensive state, complaining about work load ...etc... are part of my life now and I can say it's nice. And as for the books and magazines... I think i'll make my next post dedicated to them. God they're wonderful. Of the tiny amount of spare time I have left in a week I find that the only worthwhile thing to do is read. And read pictures at that. Well, they're coffee table books, so they're 90% pictures but there's pretty much the same amount of writing as a short novel. I still read, but after a 16 hour day I can only read pictures. Pictures are great.

I'm so tired that only the only adjectives in existence for me are "wonderful", "nice" and "great". But when I say i'm "so tired" I mean I don't even know what i'm doing or where i'm at half the time. This post doesn't have too much of a purpose but I really hate it when people don't update things. But at the same time I hate it when people update on useless things that everyone else updates about. And I hate it when you're so tired that you update your blog about being tired, and hating things. Wait what?

TBQH I've not looked at any resort collections. Mixture of lack of interest+no time/energy. Of course what I'm about to say about Celine will already be known, so I can preserve my sparce energy for something else, what with so much going on and all (insight for you) and my being able to barely stand up these days.

But I won't lie, currently not 100% digging the florals, only because I wonder have they caved in to the whole print craze like everyone else? But then I think twice and figure out of course not, much too intelligent for that. Then I realise the print and texture (from what it appears on my laptop in combination with mangly eyes) almost kind of makes it look like a curtain, which I so much appreciate because I love the translation of tapestry into clothing etc. If this is the case, and I totally completely dismantled the thought process of Phoebe Philo all by myself, all I'll need is a week to warm up to it.

I was standing amidst hundreds of famished shoppers scavenging hither and thither and I felt ridiculous. There was a sense of animalism in the crowd. I thought, is this what we've been subjected to? Being so starved to the bone with decent fashion, that when it finally comes, it's all we want, all we think about? That we have to bulldoze one another to get to the other side of the table before someone else takes that thing that caught our eye?

Today's Zara opening had a compelling affect on me. I realised already the magnificent infiltration of major international Spanish retail brand on our Australian soil/economy/society. Which I know will ultimately see the dawn of the next phase of Australian fashion. A step forward to what seemed like an eternity in style limbo for an isolated continent, seemingly exempt from international activity. New clothing, new ranges, new styles.

It's a shame that we waited all this time to be like the rest of the world. Only to look like the rest of the world. And soon enough each other.

I don't like the idea of people just turning to Zara in it's pure essence to rely on their style. That is cheating. It's pathetic and unoriginal. If Zara is all you know well then you will die a horrid death. You need to incorporate.

This sounds horribly typical to hear from someone who has travelled but now my idea of Zara is tainted. I still admire it greatly, but Zara for me was territorially in Paris. It's my first image of it, my first feel. The first store I went into was in Passy, and I was bowled over. Everything was neat. And luxurious. So luxurious.

But in the Pitt St store today, I felt as if it was all over, down the drain, a no-go. I'll be buying a few here and there but it won't ever be the same.

Could they not have teased us for this long, I wonder. All these years they have opened thousands of stores, mainly in the northern hemisphere. Why were we not privileged enough to have a store in our shores? And why did we have to go after Kazakhstan, Guatemala and Lithuania? (But I'm sure they're fantastic countries.) If we hadn't been deprived for such a long period of time perhaps the transition of Zara into the retail scene would have been much smoother and less... chaotic? God I hope that they figure out a way to control the mess, I understand the level of stress they go through (they all looked pissed off, of course) but I don't want to be able to find nothing every time I go there.

P. S

I heard everywhere that we weren't getting Europe's leftovers, and that we were getting new up to date products. BUT HOW DO THEY EXPLAIN THE THE DOZENS OF THINGS I SAW FULL PRICED HERE BUT WERE DISCOUNTED BACK IN PARIS? I mean fine, do what you got to do to make money but I'm going to look out for an explanation here.

The prices. They need to explain the prices. There were some that were spot on, similar conversions from EURO to AUD (from what I saw in Paris to what I saw here). But some were ballistically insanely over priced. Like the checkered cape. I remember seeing it for 99.95EURO and I was going to get it from one of the Champs-Elysees stores when it sold out the day before I had to leave. But here it's $220! The camel blazer was either 69.95 or 99.95 EURO (there were two very similar versions so forgive me) (and they too were on sale over there) but this is $200? Lawd! The red coat was 160 EURO so okay I guess $240 is pretty reasonable. But the shearling cropped jacket was 69.95 EURO I remember distinctly, here it was $100+? I remember I bought it for myself for Christmas (sad) But the belt was two sizes bigger than the jacket and so I had to return it.

But in foresight I see myself buying 3/4 of these jackets and I will kick myself for it.

One of my first world problems are that my clothes crease easily, and I'd prefer it if they didn't. Especially before job interviews, which is what they've been doing. Job interviews are easy to dress for... I have enough pleated/pencil skirts, wide length trousers, collared shirts/silk blouses for that kind of thing. Which is just as well, because I always find myself in interviews, never in a job....

To bump my own post (with a painfully large one)... I've been meaning to post this since I was in Paris. This is what I have to say.

Celine is my forever and ever. This is genius. Holy shit. Going (went) crazy.

There was this Celine store near my bus stop in Avenue Victor Hugo which I always lurked around... It always empty, so I'd try walking in, but of course I looked like poverty, so I wouldn't actually dare... What I distinctly remember was the lime green python box bag and the knee length shearling coat... And the tan mule sandals... Celine isn't such a big deal to French people (As I have observed).. (it's just good ol' Celine for them) (But oh so delectable Celine for us)... But no doubt there was a mass amount of people lugging their Boston bag around... most memorably this diva French girl in Colette sporting also a huge cape (ha!!) and what seemed to be a pair of Acne wedges... the latter completely ruining the aesthetic... while carrying a pair of YSL boots on sale towards the counter... hmm

Anyway this really relates to me... Wide leg trousers... short hair... green... blue... strawberries? seemingly seamless bags/pants/shirts .... I wonder what would have been if I hadn't had the skateboarding freak accident at a young age... I would be a pro. Wearing Celine.*

Couldn't get enough of this visual feast. My favourite visit from my two months stay in Paris. I did so much I can't explain everything.

He is rapidly growing on me... I like how he played with space and how everything is so refined. Although a lot of the pieces make close reference to so many things already seen (a.k.a the tailoring)... his decision to integrate it all I will admit I am ignorant to.

It really intrigues me as to how oblivious one can easily be to the particulars of a collection... if it looks typical it's definitely not... when looked at closely perhaps it plays with the fold of a collar this way or the texture of a fabric with another that way... some variation to the typical... which intends to evoke some emotion which ends up being missed when it is misjudged in the first place..

I've noticed that everyone's being experimental creative nowadays. I'd certainly like to find my potential but not now, not until after school. If I try now it won't be the best it can be-of course if 'it' can be 'good' at all. After this post I will remain completely taciturn... will just be posting things from art major... bye bitches.
